Visionaries Chef Michael Ton and brother Steven Ton cultivated their dream by opening the doors of basa Modern Vietnamese restaurant in Louisville, KY in March of 2007.

Michael and Steven Ton immigrated with their family to the United States in 1975 from South Vietnam. Combined they have over 20 years industry experience. Michael Ton, a 1995 graduate from the Culinary Institute of America, was formerly at the Boston Harbor Hotel, Biba, Top of the Hub, and most recently at Banners a private luxury restaurant located at the Fleet Center in Boston. Steven Ton has spent the majority of his career specializing as a manager in Boston area restaurants, North Carolina, and most recently worked for the Myriad Group based in Manhattan.
